Mr. Swindoll, in this section, talks about a group that joined in and committed some very traumatic acts that hurt many.
"The smirks or shouts of the majority have a way of intimidating integrity" (p. 33)
I think this happens, but I think more common are the sins of omission--those things we don't do or choose to be silent about and let them continue. The injustices of life that are either caused by tradition or fear or just now knowing how to start the change that needs to happen.
So, I want to challenge you today....
Figure out what is causing injustice in your life or around you, and do something about it--anything. Write a letter. Send an email. Make a phone call. Begin to make a change.
"Lead with your head rather than your feelings. If you fail to do this, you'll lose your ethical compass somewhere between longing to be liked and desiring to do what is right" (p. 34).
